What is a ring knocker?
"Ring knocker” is military slang for a service academy graduate.
The name comes from the heavy class ring academy grads wear, which tends to announce itself when it hits a table or a desk. West Point’s Class of 1835 was the first class to wear one, and the other academies have followed the tradition since.
Fellow officers use the term with humor and respect, and it’s the name behind RingKnocker.
Candidates we represent
We represent officers at every stage, from those leaving the service to general and flag officers who retired years ago and have since built careers in corporate America.
They come from West Point, the Naval Academy, the Air Force Academy, the Coast Guard Academy, and the Merchant Marine Academy, as well as ROTC (Reserve Officers’ Training Corps) and OCS (Officer Candidate School).
Most recruiters don’t know how to find these candidates, talk to them, or place them well. We do.
Companies we partner with
Employers that value mission-driven leadership, operational discipline, and the ability to perform under pressure.
